The eight-story, Class-A office building will be the new headquarters for The Broe Group, Broe Real Estate Group and OmniTRAX, the company’s railroad subsidiary. The Broe Group has had offices in Cherry Creek since it was founded in 1972 by Pat Broe.

<content:encoded><![CDATA[The Colorado Housing and Finance Authority awarded around $32M in tax credits to nine projects, supporting the construction of 840 affordable rental units, including an office-to-housing conversion.
CHFA announced the recipients earlier this month, including seven developments in the Denver metro area, the Denver Business Journal reported . 
In addition to state and federal credits, five projects also received a transit-oriented communities credit. CHFA says the total private equity raised by the credits will be around $209.5M.

The agreement, first reported by the Denver Business Journal, provides the development authority with a $160M fixed-rate loan and a $50M revolving line of credit, both from PNC Bank. The financing will fund payments on a 2017 loan and finance downtown development projects.

“In today’s environment, affordable housing developers have a bit of an upper hand,” Kneifl said. “Unlike market-rate developers, they’ve always been acutely aware that there’s a gap in financing, and they’re out there looking for incentives and rebates to make deals pencil. Fisher had been UDR’s president since 2022 and chief investment officer since January. Fisher started at UDR in January 2017, joining as chief financial officer.
