<content:encoded><![CDATA[Ares Management Corp. has acquired a 164K SF industrial building in Morrisville, a suburb of Raleigh in the Research Triangle, for $28.4M, Triangle Business Journal reported.
The building, which sits on 9.5 acres, serves as the Raleigh location of the Pennsylvania-based drug wholesaling company Cencora, formerly AmerisourceBergen, the building’s sole tenant.
The seller of the building was Pennsylvania-based EQT Real Estate, which purchased it in 2021 for $16.1M. 
Prior to that purchase, EQT also managed the property’s 2011 sale for $9.7M as part of a larger portfolio purchase by an affiliate of Mid-South Industrial REIT I.

North Carolina's Research Triangle Park, which comprises 7,000 acres within Wake and Durham counties and is home to more than 375 businesses, is in the midst of creating a new and vibrant downtown destination in the heart of the Park.  


One significant project in the works is Hub RTP, a $1.5B mixed-use development. Hub RTP is set to include 1,200 apartments, a 279-unit Marriott Renaissance RTP hotel, 50K SF of retail, 1M SF of office and lab space, and more — all in walking distance to the workplace.

<content:encoded><![CDATA[The wage gap between men and women in commercial real estate has widened over the past five years, leaving women at all levels underpaid, underrepresented and increasingly unsatisfied with their careers in 2020, according to a new benchmark study report by Commercial Real Estate Women Network.
A survey of 2,930 industry professionals from across all CRE sectors found that for fixed base salaries, women make an average 10% less than men. For lucrative commissions and bonuses, women take home a whopping 56% less on average than their male counterparts.

<content:encoded><![CDATA[One of the developers behind D.C.'s $2.5B The Wharf megaproject is expanding down the East Coast.
PN Hoffman announced Thursday it acquired the Seaboard Station property in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, where it is planning a $250M mixed-use redevelopment. 
The project will be PN Hoffman's first outside of D.C. The company also unveiled plans to open a Raleigh office and hired Raleigh developer John Florian to lead its beachhead team there. PN Hoffman said it plans to pursue several new developments in the area.
